Women issues and Counseling |
From the time of establishment of the NGO, we are dealing with issues of women, and we are involved in counseling and reconciliation. We do not have a formal setup for counseling but we get involved when a need arises and someone asks for our assistance. |

Now the couple is living a happy life with two children. |
5) Disturbed woman runs away to her native - 2005 |
A woman was disturbed in her husband’s house. Over an argument, her mother-in-law beat her. She wanted to go to her parents’ house with the child. She herself decided that she would meet Sr. Levenis. She was kept in the centre until she found a rented house. She was given counseling along with her husband. However, initially the couple lived separate they finally were made to live together. Now they are happy having two children. |
6) Living with a drunkard husband |
This case was handled in the year 2012. The wife was beaten up by the husband and in-laws. Since the husband was a drunkard she could not bear to live with him being beaten up every day. When she went to commit suicide falling in a tank, a man who knew her saved her and kept her that night in his family. Following morning he took her to NISARGA where she was given counseling. The sisters arranged for a meeting with the elders of the village and the family and settled the issue by reconciling the family with the woman. Now the woman is living a happy life. She has two sons. |
These are only the examples how sisters intervene in the issues that are concerning women. The sisters try their best to provide social justice and bring together the broken families with reconciliation. There are many unrecorded cases too. |
