Skill Trainings |
The purpose of the skill trainings is to fine-tune the skills of SHG members to enable them to use their skills for earning their livelihood. We provide different skill trainings to the underprivileged sections of the society. Along with the skill training, we usually help them with bank linkage for establishing their own business. NISARGA arranges the trainings in collaboration with different departments of the government or the private sector. We have been providing many skill trainings from the year 1998. |
NISARGA has provided these few skill trainings: |

On 16th of October 2000 we had arranged for a tailoring training. The training was intended at strengthening SHG women and school dropout girls. The training was imparted in a rented house in Devigere village. |

| Fashion Designing, a skill based training was organized under REDP (Rural Entrepreneurship Development Programme 2005-2006). The duration of the training was 30 days. Bank linkage was done for those who were trained. |
In the year 2006-07, 20 SHG women of the second batch were given 30 days skill training. |

| The training was for Leaf Plate making (15 members) and broom polishing (15 members). 15 days training 14-3-2005 to 15-4-2005 was sponsored by NABARD. The training aimed at promoting small scale business and helping the rural women. |

In the month of November, 2007 – 15 people were sent to Aravind Mills, Bangalore for training in Hand Sanding. The training was intended to upgrade the knowledge and skill and create opportunities for self-employment. |
