The members of Men SHGs were involved in the meetings only for the sake of financial requirements. The federation was started in the taluk level. Many members availed the loan facility from the federation too. They were motivated to get involved in the social aspect of the SHGs. But the members failed to show interest in this aspect. Most of the members failed to pay back the loans and the attendance too was declining. This led to the closure of many Men SHGs. NISARGA staff went to each member and did the settlement by recovery of loans and paying back their savings which was done in the federations. NISARGA officially closed the Men Federation.

Now in Mallappanahalli, V.N Halli, Kenkere, Anivala and Maruthinagar 8 Men SHGs are running well. NISARGA is no more taking the responsibility of Men SHGs. However, when the Men SHGs approach us we do render little help in their smooth functioning by auditing their books and solving their issues.
